With increased fuel costs, at-the-pump cardholder purchases could well exceed the current CPS/AFD $75.00 limit. When that occurs, the fuel pump is most likely shut-off, preventing a higher transaction amount
Effective June 18, 2011, Visa will adjust the interchange qualification limit for CPS/AFD transactions to $125.00.
Please note, however, that chargeback limits will remain the same, as follows:
• $75 for consumer and commercial non-fleet transactions
• $150 for Visa Fleet purchasing card transactions
Card issuers unable to post a transaction may chargeback the excess transaction amount over $75 and $150 respectively.
